
During the 7th start-up day, the flagship event for biotechs and their ecosystem, Snitem gathered 1000 participants, more than 3500 BtoB meetings and Job Dating were held throughout the day, reflecting the dynamism of the DM sector and testifying to its attractiveness.
Guests had access to several plenary conferences and workshops dedicated to regulatory issues, market access, financing and international development.
In addition, the event was the occasion for a competition between the startups. Among 12 startups, Electroducer proposed a medical device that replaces the use of a temporary pacemaker probe, reducing the duration of the procedure, the exposure to X-rays of the patient and the operators, while avoiding the associated additional costs during a cardiac surgery. This device was awarded the jury prize. As for Hippy Medtec Systems, inventor of a connected and intelligent airbag belt to prevent femoral neck fractures, it succeeded in convincing the public of the ingenuity of its device, thus winning the Public’s Favourite Award.
